Trees

I have started a new tree series...The first one, "Sunset in the Meadow" is a large painting. The second one with the pink background, "Giggle Trees" is an 8 x 10.

Valentine Hearts

I did these hearts in the Warholish style to put on my door at school for Valentine's Day. It also has kind of a country feel, which I was not intentionally going for--but whatever moves me-hahahaha!

Come Sail Away

Here I go again thinking about summer at the lake. Although I don't have a sailboat, just floating the day away sounds pretty good right now. However...I'll have to have patience and enjoy the seasons in Indiana. I hope you enjoy my first attempt at sailboats; there will be more to come.

More Swirly Flowers

I tried a bowl variation for the vase this time.

Just Inspired...

Let me know what you think of this one...

Artists Need Their Creative Space

I have made some changes to the studio--I am taking over the game room--not really!!! But hey, artists need their create space, right???? My table expanded to a wrap around "L" workspace. I also purchased the humongolicious easel.

So, we had two snow days this week from school. I got a lot of cleaning and other odds and ends done, but more importantly, I started five new paintings. I finished two of them, and about halfway on the other three. I've got a number of new ideas right now...the snow must inspire me or maybe the time off at home gives me time to marinate in my ideas.

Swirly Flowers

These are absolutely adorable, and so fun to paint. Spring will soon be here--but for now I have my adorable "Swirly Flowers."

Flower Tree Sunrise

This is one of the larger paintings I have done. This picture does not do it justice--it is so colorful and the sunrise turned out wonderfully. It is just a happy painting!

Big Fish Painting

I've done three different sizes of these fish. This series is called, "Fish in Mosaic Water." Clever, eh??? This is the largest one in this series measuring 18 X 24. I really like the water this way. I am thinking about doing as few mermaids with this mosaic water pattern. These fish kind of have this primitive design.

Fun Painting

I painted this one on a whim. These cold February days are making me long for summer--or the Caribbean--or Waikiki--or any place warm for that matter.
